Abstract

The growing development of process automation in livestock management has driven many farmers to implement new technologies that optimize operational efficiency. Specifically, the automation of ventilation systems has stood out for its vital importance in livestock farms as well as energy savings. In this work, the automation and control of an experimental ventilation system to be implemented in a livestock farm using Internet of Things technology are presented. It can intelligently collect and monitor the environmental conditions in the livestock farm in real time. The solution is designed with the possibility of being applied in different livestock farms. The system drives the installed actuators and is accessible to the user for monitoring their operations and problems. This proposal presents outstanding details such as an intelligent activation system, energy savings, and ease of use.
