Abstract

The use of Network Control Systems has been successful in the industry and therefore has opened several lines of

research. Control systems over a communication network include two important considerations, control and

scheduling. Co-design strategies are focused on maintaining adequate control performance and maximize the level of

service. Network scheduling is the main objective to resolve because through a balanced data load is possible to

maintain control performance in a desired level. This article reviews a scheduling strategy based on frequency

transition modeled as a linear subsystem, this control reconfigure on line the sensors’ periods. The case of study is

the control of a prototype helicopter and by numerical simulations it shows the effect of changing the transmission

frequency.
